What You'll Learn
- How to taste and describe wine using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine®(SAT)
- How environmental factors, grape-growing, winemaking and maturation options influence the style and quality of wines made from eight principal grape varieties:

Tasting Experience
Taste along (buy locally) or order online through e-tasting.com (approved WSET wine kit).
Assesment
- 50-question online multiple-choice exam
- Take the exam from home via secure remote invigilation on a pre-scheduled date
Entry Requirements
- No prior wine knowledge required, but completion of WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is recommended for those with no previous study experience.
- Students must be 21 years or older to enroll
Certification
Successful students receive the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines digital certificate recognized and respected worldwide.
Cancellation / Refund Policy
- No refunds are available for cancellations within 15 days of the course start date; however, tuition may be applied to a future class
- If Prince of Wine Academy cancels a course, students may choose either a full refund or a rescheduled date

You’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.

Whether you are new to wine or an experienced connoisseur, Walid’s mission is to deepen your understanding and appreciation for wine from the vineyard to the glass.
You’ll often find Walid capturing unique moments through the lens of his Leica camera, inspired by how light interacts with wine. As a Southern California resident, he’s known for his creative shots on the beach, where he explores the interplay between wine and natural light.
