For one extraordinary evening at 71Above, we will explore the full hierarchy of the world's most celebrated Burgundy estate through ten wines from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, culminating in three of the most coveted bottles in fine wine: La Tâche, Romanée-Conti and Montrachet.

The progression is extraordinary. We begin in Vosne-Romanée and move through Corton, Échézeaux, Grands Échézeaux and Romanée-Saint-Vivant before reaching the extraordinary depth of Richebourg and La Tâche. The evening then enters truly rare territory with 2008 Romanée-Conti Grand Cru Monopole, followed by DRC's legendary Montrachet and Corton-Charlemagne.

This is an opportunity not simply to taste DRC, but to experience the Domaine as a whole — vineyard against vineyard, vintage against vintage, from its most graceful expressions to its greatest Grand Crus.

At 10 guests, all ten DRC wines will be opened. Should the dinner reach 14 guests, we will expand the experience to as many as 14 exceptional Burgundies with four additional “friends” joining the DRC lineup.

Dinner will take place nearly 1,000 feet above Los Angeles at 71Above, where a multi-course seasonal menu will be created to accompany the wines against panoramic views stretching across Southern California.

This is the kind of tasting even devoted Burgundy collectors may never have the opportunity to assemble in a single evening — ten DRCs, one table, one unforgettable dinner.

Attendance is extremely limited. A minimum of 10 guests is required for the dinner to proceed. Vintages may adjust based on availability and provenance.

WINE LIST

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru “Cuvée Duvault-Blochet,” 2020
94 Points — Vinous. Seductive and unmistakably Vosne, the 2020 Duvault-Blochet layers rose petal, crushed flowers, herbs and beautifully sculpted red fruit with remarkable energy. Sourced from young vines within DRC’s legendary holdings, it offers a rare and exceptionally elegant introduction to the Domaine’s style.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Corton Grand Cru, 2016
96 Points — Jasper Morris. The 2016 Corton combines exuberant raspberry fruit with classical structure, savory complexity and a beautifully energetic core. Generous yet refined, it shows the growing stature of one of the Domaine’s newer Grand Cru expressions.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Échézeaux Grand Cru, 2015
95 Points — Decanter. A sumptuous expression of Échézeaux, with ripe blackberry and raspberry, impressive volume and beautifully integrated oak supported by fresh acidity. The exceptional 2015 vintage gives this wine both immediate seduction and the structure for a long evolution in bottle.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Grands Échézeaux Grand Cru, 2020
97 Points — Wine Advocate & Decanter. Deep and beautifully layered, the 2020 Grands Échézeaux brings together dark berries, exotic spice, rose petal and a striking mineral-saline character. Its concentration is carried with extraordinary refinement, finishing long, precise and remarkably complete.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru, 2020
97+ Points — Vinous. One of the stars of DRC’s 2020 collection, Romanée-Saint-Vivant marries red fruit, blood orange, herbs and chalk with tremendous freshness and saline energy. Silky, precise and intensely perfumed, it captures the vineyard’s legendary finesse while possessing remarkable underlying power.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Richebourg Grand Cru, 2018
98 Points — Jasper Morris. Powerful yet extraordinarily perfumed, the 2018 Richebourg unfolds with peony, dark fruit, blood orange and layers of velvety texture. Its immense depth and architectural structure are matched by an almost effortless energy that makes Richebourg one of DRC’s most commanding wines.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, La Tâche Grand Cru Monopole, 2016
98 Points — Wine Advocate, Vinous & Jeb Dunnuck. The legendary 2016 La Tâche combines blackberry, wild berries, flowers, spice and crushed stone with extraordinary concentration and precision. Monumental yet controlled, it builds across the palate with filigreed tannins and a seemingly endless finish destined to evolve for decades.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Romanée-Conti Grand Cru Monopole, 2008
100 Points — Decanter. The crown jewel of Burgundy reaches extraordinary heights in 2008, combining haunting perfume, concentration, creamy richness and extraordinarily fine tannins with breathtaking finesse. Produced from one of the world's most revered vineyard parcels, Romanée-Conti is less simply a great Pinot Noir than one of wine's ultimate expressions of place.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Montrachet Grand Cru, 2018
97 Points — Burghound. Exotic and immensely powerful, DRC’s 2018 Montrachet layers passion fruit, apricot, dried peach, spice and florals over an astonishingly rich, textured palate. Despite its scale and concentration, impeccable balance and an exceptionally persistent finish make this one of the rarest and most profound white Burgundies in the world.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, 2022
95 Points — Wine Advocate & Vinous. Golden orchard fruit, citrus, white flowers, hazelnut and chalk define this rich yet beautifully energetic Corton-Charlemagne. Layered, mouth-filling and mineral-driven, it offers a fascinating look at DRC’s newest chapter in Grand Cru Chardonnay.
