Join us for a relaxed, sit-down Italian wine classroom experience featuring a minimum of 8 Italian wines, guided discussion, and a casual Italian dinner from Nick + Sons. Limited to 16 people.
Hosted by Sommelier and Wine Educator Ian Blackburn of LearnAboutWine, this two-hour tasting explores the grapes, regions, producers, and styles that make Italy one of the most exciting wine countries in the world.
Dinner includes your choice of:

*We reserve the right to change the wine line up without notice. We open one bottle per paying guest. The cost of our event is never based on any one bottle of wine but the cost of the event to operate and perform.

With over 20 years of operating experience in restaurants from Manhattan to Manhattan Beach, I am thrilled to be in back in Southern California with my wife and two sons embarking on a new adventure. We feel that Nick & Sons is going to fill a much needed void in the neighborhood, providing a fresh local gourmet market and delicatessen, an aggressive cheese and charcuterie program, and an exceptional selection of wines. Above all, genuine hospitality is the foundation of all that we do, thus a relationship with our guest is most valued to us.

Ian discovered the wine industry while visiting the Napa Valley as a Culinary Student. Ian moved his focus to the front of the house, while working with Thomas Keller and Joachim Splichal in Los Angeles. Now in his 30th year hosting events; leading trips around the wine world; Ian has published a wine education book and is working on a new one; Ian has his own wine brand called Beekeeper Cellars and has sat for the difficult Master of Wine Exam!
