The Château concept was introduced in the XIX century in France as a way to honor creative mastery of winegrowers from Bordeaux.Almaviva was the first wine in Chile created under this French Château concept, taking into account exceptional terroir, one unique bodega and one technical team – the three of which are dedicated exclusively to the production of one wine of unparalleled quality and excellence. In 1997, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA, and Eduardo Guilisasti Tagle, Chairman of Viña Concha y Toro S.A., sealed a partnership agreement with a view to create an exceptional Franco-Chilean wine called Almaviva.Produced under the joint technical supervision of both partners, the first vintage achieved immediate international success upon its launch in 1998.

Fairest Creature was founded in 2018 with the belief that winemakers’ blending is the most important element of making a great Cabernet Sauvignon, and that wine styles are the distinct reflection of winemakers who make them. With these ideas in mind, we brought together Napa Valley’s top talents -- Thomas Brown, Philippe Melka and Benoit Touquette, as well as master of blending Michel Rolland – to create the Fairest Creature line of ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Starting with the same grapes from the finest vineyards in Napa (St. Helena, Oakville, Rutherford), each of these winemakers hand-crafted his own signature Cabernet Sauvignon, expressing within each bottle his own uniquely winemaking style and talent.

Moraga Vineyards is one of the most unique wine estates in California. Located at a 550-900 foot elevation in the Santa Monica Mountains in the Los Angeles community of Bel Air, the winery and vineyard is the source of remarkably refined wines that perfectly reflect a union of distinctive terroir and the gentle guidance of focused winemaking. The property is currently owned by Rupert Murdoch. The property was originally the home of Victor Fleming, director of Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz. Fleming created a horse ranch on the property and used it through the 1930s and 1940s as a retreat and a secluded venue to host his friends. In 1959, Tom and Ruth Jones purchased the property. After living on the estate for 20 years, Tom, the longtime CEO of Northrop Corporation, decided to plant grapevines. It was the steeply sloped hillsides and the gravelly and calcareous soils on the property that inspired them to plant vineyards as it reminded them of Bordeaux where they often travelled. Because they found their non-commercial vintages in the 1980's so enjoyable, the Joneses decided to officially launch Moraga Bel Air as a commercial entity. The first commercial vintage, 1989, was produced by Bruno D’Alfonso at Sanford Winery in Santa Barbara County. D’Alfonso also made the 1990 and 1991 vintages. For the next several years the grapes were sent up to Etude Winery in Napa to be made by Tony Soter. Mary Hall, viticulturalist for Etude, was brought on as Moraga Bel Air’s original viticultural consultant and continued with Moraga even after she left Etude and joined Harlan Estate. Scott Rich (Tony Soter's assistant at Etude) took over winemaking at Moraga in 2000.The 2005 vintage marked a significant milestone in Moraga’s history. A state-of-the art winery was completed on the property just in time for the 2005 harvest. This, coupled with the barrel-ageing cave completed in 2004, established Moraga as an Estate Wine and one of the first commercial wineries to be bonded in the city of Los Angeles since Prohibition ended in 1933.Throughout its history, the wines of Moraga Bel Air have been coveted and highly praised. Robert Parker, Jr. of The Wine Advocate has said of Moraga Bel Air, “This is one of the most distinctive little treasures in California...These are serious wines made with a French orientation. The Reds are very St. Julien-like and the whites are sensational efforts reminiscent of a top white Bordeaux.”In 2013, at the age of 93 and with 24 vintages under his belt, Jones sold Moraga Bel Air to Rupert Murdoch. Mr. Murdoch made the property his West Coast home and is committed to carrying on the Jones’ legacy of producing top quality wine from one of California’s most unique estate wineries.

Mount Eden Vineyards is a small historic wine estate perched at 2000 feet overlooking Silicon Valley in the Santa Cruz Mountain Appellation, about 50 miles south of San Francisco. Founded in 1945, it is recognized as one of the original “boutique” California winery properties, focusing on small lots of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Mount Eden’s lineage of estate bottled Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is the longest in California. Planted in austere, infertile Franciscan shale on a cool, exposed mountaintop, these low-yielding estate vineyards have consistently produced world-class wines for over a half-century. In 2007 Mount Eden acquired an additional 55 acre wine estate in the Saratoga foothills, which was christened Domaine Eden.Mount Eden Vineyards also produces non-estate Chardonnays from the central coast, primarily Edna Valley. They have great success making Chardonnay from the Wolff Vineyard and are continually recognized as making outstanding wines from that region.Since 1981 Jeffrey Patterson has guided the winemaking and grape growing at Mount Eden. His emphasis is on wine growing rather than winemaking; and an obsession with gentleness and naturalness in the handling of the grapes and wines is his ongoing passion.

We are a second generation, family-owned winery that farms two exceptional vineyards and produces expressive, complex and age-worthy wines. We believe that wine and food are best enjoyed together, and offer both when you visit our estate. We believe in creating a business that can last generations, and keep sustainability in mind when making decisions. We’re over 20 years into our farming and winemaking journey. Richard Niner discovered Paso Robles in the 1990s and immediately fell in love with the land and the people. In both he saw potential to compete with premier wine regions around the world. He purchased his first vineyard in 2001 and added Heart Hill Vineyard in 2003. That year marked our first vintage: a small bottling of Bordeaux wines. The tasting room and winery opened in Spring of 2010 and Richard purchased Jespersen Ranch in 2012. In 2013 his son Andy took over the business with the goal of continuing his Dad’s legacy. We’ve been farming vineyards and making wine for over 20 years. We currently farm two distinct sites. At Heart Hill Vineyard in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles we grow rich and layered varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Syrah. At our coastal Jespersen Ranch in the Edna Valley we farm expressive, complex wines including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Albarino and Grenache.

The Mascot began as a family wine, unnamed, unlabeled—a blend made for and poured at our own table. The components were of the highest pedigree, harvested from the younger vines of the Harlan family domain. The domain traces its beginning to the founding in 1984 of Harlan Estate, located in the western hills of Oakville and conceived as a “first growth of California.” In 1996, the family established BOND, a portfolio of “Grand Cru” vineyards whose wines showcase the range of expression of Cabernet Sauvignon across distinct geographical sites within the Napa Valley. Promontory, whose land the family acquired in 2008, is led by the family’s second generation and represents a 21st-century approach to winegrowing. As these varied sites were gradually replanted, many of the young vines contributed to my project. Yet, despite these distinguished origins, my early endeavor could only hint at the individual character embodied by each of our grands vins.

Croix Estate Winemaker/Owner Kirk VengeFarming and winemaking is in the blood of Owner and Winemaker, Kirk Venge, “When I was growing up, working in the vineyard and winery gave me a wonderful sense of partnership in my family’s way of life; it was hard work, but I loved it.”Born and raised in Rutherford, Napa Valley, surrounded by fabled vineyards and wineries, Kirk Venge was instilled with his father’s vision of excellence. He learned the rhythm of winemaking as a young man, helping in the family vineyard throughout the growing season, experiencing the labor of harvest and the love of crush, and working alongside his father, Nils Venge, in the winery. Some of his earliest memories are of riding on the tractor with his father cultivating the Oakville Estate vineyard and dragging hoses across the cellar floor.Kirk earned his degree in Viticulture and Enology at the prestigious University of California, Davis, graduating in 1998. He worked diligently during summer internships as the experimental winemaker for Mumm, Napa Valley, where he focused on producing still Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. A post-graduation harvest in New Zealand and travels in the great wine regions of Europe would provide him with the skills to lead production on the Venge Family Reserve wines in 2003.When Kirk acquired ownership and the title of Winemaker from his father in 2008, he immediately purchased a 12.5 acre vineyard in the foothills of the Palisades Mountains in Calistoga, determined to found a new estate winery from which to further his own Napa Valley legacy.“My focus has always been the vineyard first. So when the Bone Ash Vineyard site became available in Calistoga, I knew the potential for growing and producing reputable Cabernet Sauvignon was already established in the neighborhood by Bart Araujo, Dr. Kenefick, and Fred Fisher. I believe this site will produce wines that are every bit as compelling as our Oakville Estate designations.”It is his experience that is the driving force behind the quality of Croix and Venge’s wines.

I fell in love with magic, and as a I got older my mom encouraged me to put together an act and charge money for it. That's right, my mom actually pushed me toward being a professional entertainer.
I'm both a comedian and a magician and my shows are all very different because I customize them for every audience. I've been lucky to perform for some amazing people.
