About the Rhône Valley
The Rhône Valley is one of France’s oldest and most celebrated wine regions, stretching from Lyon to Provence along the Rhône River. Divided into the Northern and Southern Rhône, the region is renowned for producing powerful reds, elegant whites, and expressive blends that reflect a remarkable diversity of soils and climates. The Northern Rhône is the spiritual home of Syrah, while the Southern Rhône is famous for Grenache-based blends, including the legendary wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
About the Rhône Grapes
Rhône wines are celebrated for their richness, complexity, and exceptional food-pairing versatility. From the peppery, savory elegance of Syrah in the Northern Rhône to the generous, fruit-driven blends of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre (GSM) in the Southern Rhône, these wines offer remarkable character at every level. Known for layers of blackberry, plum, herbs, black pepper, olive, lavender, and spice, Rhône wines strike a balance between power and finesse.
