Madeira is amazing but like its italian counterpart Marsala, many confuse the quality wines with low end cooking or bastardized examples that were mass produced.  Ian Blackburn is a collector of Madeira wines and an advocate for increased awareness, use, and fandom!   “The nose of great Madeira is like nothing else in the world and the wines are miss understood - I am to be a part of the solution”  says Blackburn.

Participants will gain insights into the unique aging process that contributes to the wine's complexity and longevity, while discovering the stories that have shaped the Madeira wine culture over centuries.
